Chase the Tent......

Thank you and congratulations to everyone for braving the conditions today and participating in Round 1 of Chase the Sun. Many of you were riding in your first event which made it even more impressive. The challenge wasn't contained to the course, as staying warm and dry proved to be near impossible!
FGP was receiving updates from the Bureau of Meteorology, SES and Parks Victoria regarding the prevailing conditions, and with you best interests in mind, we felt the best decision for all participants and staff was to reduce the exposure to the elements.
It was the first time in the history of any FGP event that we have had to reduce the duration of an enduro and certainly hope we won't have to make this call again!
You are certainly now all well qualified to participate in Round 2 of Chase the Sun! Round 2 will be held adjacent to Trailmix - on the more spectator and participant friendly lakeside of the park. The course will be different and shorter than today's configuration. We look forward to seeing you all on the start line, with the sun shining, where we will cram 8 hours worth of random prizes, good times and mountain bike love into a fun filled 5 hours.
