About Us
Full Gas Promotions (FGP) Pty Ltd was established in 2003 by Kristjan Snorrason. FGP has now held over 300 events and continues to set benchmarks for mountain bike events in Australia.
We put money, time and energy back into mountain biking through trail building and maintenance, local community involvement in our events wherever possible, and through support of the Full Gas Peddlers Mountain Bike Club Inc.
Above all, we are mountain bikers ourselves, we love the sport, and one of our main goals is simply to have more people in the world riding bicycles....
...and then provide them with the most well organised, exciting and beginner friendly mountain bike events possible.
The FGP difference…
Our experience at international events and venues is applied to all of our FGP events. This includes Risk Assessment Matrix development, Venue Operation and Emergency Management Plans, Traffic Management Plans, and detailed Communication and Rescue Operation Plans.
FGP events have:

The FGP Team
Kristjan Snorrason - Managing Director
Kristjan has had over 15 years experience in event management, ranging from triathlons and road cycling criteriums to the 2002 Landrover G4 Challenge and 2005 Australian Mountain Bike Championships. Kristjan was employed in 2005 by the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Committee as the Competition Manager for the Mountain Bike event followed by a role with the Doha 2006 Asian Games as the Venue Manager for the Road Events (Cycling, Triathlon, Marathon & Race Walks).
Kristjan is an accomplished professional road cyclist having raced through Europe, in particular on teams in Portugal, Belgium and throughout the USA and Asia. He was the the 2001 Australian Time Trial Champion and has competed at a national level for mountain biking.
Kristjan was the Vice President of Mountain Bike Australia Inc from 2007-8 and is an accredited National level Commissaire. He is also an IMBA approved trail builder.
Jo Williams - Operations Manager
Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing)
Jo has had over 7 years experience in events which includes numerous triathlons and fun-runs, the Houston Marathon, the US Mens Half-Marathon Championships and the Mothers Day Classic. She worked in Venue Operations for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Road Events, and Venue and Competition Operations for the Doha 2006 Asian Games Road Events.
Event Staff
Many of our event staff have been with FGP since the first event and continue to provide seamless and efficient event operations. Each event is testament to their teamwork, experience, energy and enthusiasm.
