Anaconda Enduro Mountain Bike Series

Anaconda Enduro Series
You like mountain biking, right?
Love going for a ride with friends or family?
Ever had a bet with your riding buddies over who could ride the 'Blair Witch' or 'Buckle' Trails the quickest?
Ever wondered how far can you ride from sun rise till sunset?

Stop chasing your tail - Chase your mates - Chase the Sun

The Anaconda Enduro Series are four events staged at the home of mountain biking. Do just one, or do them all.

Lysterfield Park (Home of the Melbourne2006 Commonwealth Games Mountain Bike Event)

// 11th May 2008 // 1st June 2008
// 27th July 2008
// 17th August 2008

Each event is a different duration (in relation to the varying daylight hours over the year)

Just because it's 5, 6, 7 or 8hrs long doesn't mean that everyone has to ride for that amount of time!!!!
For the majority of participants their team rides as a relay, with one 'active' rider on course at a time. The rest of the time the team sits back, basks in the afterglow of post lap euphoria before putting the drinks and food aside in time for another lap.

You ride as much or as little as you like within the event time frame. This event is perfect for every level of mountain biker!

Every entrant receives a Fluid Product, a SRAM Powerlink and a Torq Bar or Gel worth over $49 courtesy of Fluid, Anaconda, SRAM & Torq!

We loved running the M2006 Commonwealth Games @ one of Australia's best loved MTB venues, so now it's time for you to come join us for something a little different.

No more driving into the middle of nowhere. Lysterfield Park is so close you can almost smell it!

The sporting part of the Anaconda Enduro Series revolves around a massive relay, where solo riders or teams of up to three people compete to ride as many laps as possible in set time frame. Whether you're a strong rider, or a recreational rider, our categories have been designed to accommodate all levels. The majority of riders are considered to be "weekend warriors", people who work full time and enjoy being active on weekends.

Trails just for you so you can give it an all out blast or simply sit back, relax and enjoy all those sensational trails at your own pace.

You can choose to enter one event at a time or various events at one time.
You need to use the Entire Series link in order to receive the full series discount.
We strongly recommend creating Active Network User Profiles for each rider, so subsequent event entries (eg Kona 24hr etc) are quicker and easier for you to manage.

Categories
A unique ProTeam format where teams of two will fight it out for large cash prizes at each round all the while accumulating points towards the series championship cash purse.
A corporate team category for teams up to three riders, very loosely based on 3 people that work together and want to play together, but if you don't all work together, that's ok, you can still play together @ the Anaconda Enduro Series
Husband & Wife Teams for those who can't get enough of each other and love getting down and dirty MTBing together. No marriage certificates needed!
For those of you who are Just Good Friends, we have a category for you as well! Two men or two women will get you into this one. No questions asked.
For the ORCA Young Guns; get your school's team in the class for secondary school teams of three riders.
Of course where would we be if we didn't give the Solo's a platform to prove just how hard they are?

Lysterfield Park
Lysterfield Park is one of the most valuable recreation and conservation areas close to Melbourne. As well as being a beautiful spot to visit it offers opportunities for walking, horseriding, cycling, swimming and boating.
Lysterfield Park Mountain Bike Trails and the State Mountain Bike course has 20 kilometres of exciting and environmentally sustainable trails that cater for riders of all ages and ability.
Choose from easy family trails for all to enjoy around the lake and parkland, a range of flowing single trails through established plantations or steep and technical sections of trail through rocky landscapes. All trails are clearly sign posted with directional information and gradings.

Parks Victoria together with the Mountain Bike Association of Australia have carefully designed trail alignments to protect environmental values of the park, whilst providing a high quality Mountain Biking experience. The trail system has been designed for sustainable for long term use. You can help ensure that these trails remain open for use by only riding on formally signed trails and not creating or using informally created trails. (Those not identified on the map).

There are a number of other trails within the park that are for shared use and some trails are for Mountain Bikes only. Please also respect the trails that are designated for walkers and equestrian use only.
